Institute of International Education's Mission

The Institute of International Education (IIE) is an independent non-profit organization, a world leader in exchanging of people and ideas internationally. IIE designs and implements programs of study and training for public and private sectors worldwide with funding from government agencies, foundations, and corporations. IIE also manages policy research, provides advising and counseling on international education and opportunities abroad.

Partnership Summary

The Cisco Networking Academy Program has partnered with IIE to establish the Women In Technology Scholarship program. The Women In Technology (WIT) program, sponsored by the United States Agency for International Development and administered by IIE through a grant from the dot-GOV Program of Internews Network, provides scholarships to women from target countries to attend the Cisco Networking Academy Program, earning them a standard certification as networking professionals. The WIT Scholarship Program offers opportunities to women, who are currently underrepresented in the Information Technology field, to achieve higher education and pursue careers in Information Technology.
