Jo Sanders
Jo Sanders is an experienced author who has directed and consulted on national projects in gender equity in education and employment since 1979. She has conducted extensive interviews in connection with over 50 books and articles she has published. Her web site contains a Resource Section with valuable information, articles that can be downloaded and useful tools for creating a gender friendly atmosphere in you classroom or organization. Be sure to look at her Handbook for Recruiting Women and People of Color and her Equity in the Classroom course.

American Association of University Women
The American Association of University Women is a national organization that promotes education and equity for all women and girls. The AAUW Educational Foundation, funds pioneering research on girls and education, community action projects, and fellowships and grants for outstanding women around the globe.

National Engineers Week
This site introduces girls to engineering and engineering careers. Girls can apply for the opportunity of spending one day with an engineer in the second annual Introduce a Girl to Engineering Day. Interesting links for library science and Future Cities Competition are also noted. There are also several links to activities and opportunities across the nation.

Cyber Careers
Not gender specific, but it provides good information about careers and activities to help students explore different technology careers. It provides lesson plans and worksheets for teachers and an IT interest survey. It has a site for students. It was developed the National Workforce Center for Emerging Technologies.
